John Deere has significantly improved its 5 Series Utility Tractor lineup for 2013, with more horsepower, cab and transmission options than ever before. By integrating four new 45 to 75 horsepower 5E models into the group with the three 83 to 101 horsepower 5E Limited Tractors introduced last year, John Deere offers more utility tractor options at an affordable price to a wide variety of customers.

The 5E family now includes the 5045E, 5055E, 5065E, 5075E, 5083E, 5093E and 5101E Tractors, with the last three digits of the model number representing the engine horsepower of the tractor. New options include the availability of cabs on the 5055E, 5065E and 5075E models; new open operator station option for the 5083, 5093 and 5101models; and new 12F/12R PowrReverser Transmission options for the 55 to 101 horsepower models.

Matt Blaylock, product marketing manager for the 5 Series Tractors, says the expanded 5 Series line offers rural property owners, livestock producers and commercial customers more comfort, performance and versatility than any other utility tractor in its class.

"We've added many features, such as the cab, independent 540/540E PTO and PowrReverser Transmissions, to these models to improve operator comfort and productivity all year long," Baylock says. "Customers will find our 5E Utility Tractors to be heavier, more durable, easier to maintain, and more comfortable and economical to operate compared to other utility tractors on the market."

With seven different horsepower models, 2-wheel drive and mechanical front-wheel drive options, and other features to choose from, customers can select the model that best fits their needs.

"The easy-to-shift PowrReverser Transmission, available on the 55 horsepower and higher models, has 12 forward and 12 reverse gears that make loader work, mowing, and many other chores much easier," Blaylock says. "Plus, the electro-hydraulic economy 540 PTO is standard on all PowrReverser-equipped machines to save fuel and reduce engine noise and vibration for most powered implements."

For customers wanting loader attachments, the 4-cylinder 5E models are compatible with both the new John Deere H-Series and existing 553 loaders.

"Beyond all these new features and options, the best thing about the 5E Series Utility Tractors is their affordable price," Blaylock adds. "These utility tractors are designed to provide years of reliable performance to customers in a wide variety of markets, including the farm, ranch, commercial and property owner segments."
