New Holland Celebrates Award-Winning Design with Blue Power Tractor

To celebrate winning the prestigious 2010 Tractor of the Year Award as well as the Golden Tractor for Design Award, New Holland is offering two special edition T7000 Series "Blue Power" tractors that are guaranteed to turn heads.

"Blue Power" tractors are exceptional in appearance as well as performance. The limited edition 195 PTO- hp "Blue Power" T7070 Auto Command and 180 PTO-hp T7060 Power Command tractors sport striking metallic blue paint reminiscent of Maserati cars, lots of sleek silver and chrome styling additions, and high-performance Trelleborg tires.

"These aren't just great looking tractors," says New Holland Tractor Marketing Manager Doug Otto. "They're tops in tractor technology, ergonomics and style as well with best-in-class Auto Command Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and Power Command Powershift transmissions."

The Tractor of the Year and Golden Tractor for Design awards, presented by AGRITECHNICA, the world's largest agricultural trade show, acknowledge New Holland's commitment to offering its customers the best technology and solutions for easier and more productive farming. These awards recognize New Holland's design excellence, particularly on the SideWinder II armrest console with its intuitive controls, focusing on ease of use and operator comfort. This new console includes the CommandGrip control lever and the IntelliView III touch screen monitor, which is the first on the market to integrate tractor and implement controls, as well as those associated with the IntelliSteerTM auto-guidance system.

The SideWinder II console was also recognized with a 2010 AE50 Award as one of the year's top 50 design innovations by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, as well as a Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art, Design and Urban studies. These awards acknowledge New Holland's tailored and intuitive solutions to make state-of-the-art technology available to improve agricultural efficiency.

Both T7070 Auto Command and T7060 Power Command tractors utilize active suspension technology, have excellent power to weight ratios and the SideWinder II armrest with CommandGrip handle and, as expected on any luxury vehicle, a deluxe, spacious 360 Horizon cab with leather seat.
