The book covers the entire history of John Deere tractors, from the Dain and Waterloo Boy to the present. A particular focus is made on the New Generation and Generation II models, now becoming popular with tractor collectors.
Andrew Morland grew up next to a farm, and often played there as a child with his siblings. As he grew older, he began helping out with the field work, first cutting the field grass on his own at age 11. His neighbors also raced automobiles, and the teenager developed a strong interest in all of the machines. After studying photography, Andrew embarked on a career as a freelance photographer, with a focus on machinery. Since 1985, he has been involved in over 50 tractor books.
Legendary John Deere Tractors is a wonderful photographic journey through the history of Deere & Company tractors. Published by Voyageur Press, the book is 208 pages with 500 color photographs.
