Le Sueur County Pioneer Power Swap Meet
TractorData.com -The Le Sueur County Pioneer Power Swap Meet was held this weekend, April 25 through 27. TractorData went down to the meet on Saturday. Unfortunately, the weather has not been cooperative this year, with winter storms across much of the Midwest. Temperatures in Le Sueur were in the 30s with fresh snow and a harsh 30 mile-per-hour wind. Many people had packed up and left by mid-day. Those who stayed had to contend with deep mud and strong wind gusts. There was a respectable crowd in attendance, not as many as one would normally expect in Le Sueur, but not bad for the weather. The numerous buildings on site held the inside vendors comfortably. Although, because most doors were closed to block the wind, some had to put up "we are here" signs on the door to let visitors know the building was open. Large tractor parts dealers were out in the fields, with a good selection of NOS, salvage, and replica tractor parts. The sellers with their own rigs had a big advantage over those trying to keep their tents in place. While certainly not an ideal weekend, poor weather is a fact of life in the Midwest, and farming in general. For those willing to brave the weather it was still possible to find thousands of manuals and parts for antique farm tractors, and a wide assortment of tractor-branded accessories.
