CaseIH launches new Maxxum series tractors

Case IH has revamped its multi-purpose, mid-horsepower tractor line with the launch of eight new Maxxum Series tractors for 2007.

The Case IH Maxxum Series offers greater fuel efficiency and more power options for livestock and row crop producers. Like the predecessor MXU Series, Maxxum tractors have the versatility and efficiency to handle hay tools, row crop implements, heavy loader work, and other general farm chores. New Maxxum models offer 4.5- or 6.7-liter Case IH engines, Tier 3 emission certified from 90 to 120 PTO hp, just below the Case IH Magnum™ and Puma Series tractors in size and horsepower.

"Like the new Steiger, Magnum and Puma models that were recently launched, the most visible difference is the new Case IH styling, with the Maxxum family name and model number on the side hood and the new Case IH logo on the front grill," says Tom Dean, Marketing Manager for mid-horsepower tractors. "But the most significant change inside the tractor is the efficiency of the Tier 3 engine."

Maxxum tractors can be equipped with a new exclusive Case IH Turn Assist system that reduces operator effort and increases productivity during loader work and frequent end-of-row turns. The new Case IH LX740 and LXL750 loaders are perfectly matched to the new Maxxum Series and are available with more than 70 different attachments for unmatched material handling versatility.

Other new Maxxum features provide added convenience. A new fender-mounted PTO switch located alongside the 3-point hitch raise/lower switch is standard on all Maxxum cab models, so operators can save time hooking up implements. A new easily accessible external or in-cab battery disconnect switch makes it easy to disconnect the battery before idle or storage periods.

Five Maxxum 'Pro' models loaded to boost productivity "All five Maxxum Pro models - the 110 Pro, 120 Pro, 125 Pro, 130 Pro and 140 Pro - are fully loaded with deluxe features to boost productivity," Dean says. The Pro configurations are built with an efficient Case IH four-valve-per-cylinder common rail electronic engine. The electronic engine allows PTO and transport power boost of up to 25 horsepower, along with the fuel-saving constant engine RPM feature as standard.

Other standard Maxxum Pro features include a deluxe cab, MFD (mechanical front drive), pressure flow compensating hydraulics, electronic draft control, and automatic end-of-row function. The standard 16x16 semi-powershift transmission is also available with an optional 17th EconoGear that enhances fuel economy by providing lower engine RPMs at top road speeds.

Other Maxxum Pro options include the new automatic cab temperature control, along with electrically adjustable rear view mirrors that allow easy adjustment from inside the cab. A new Auto PTO Management option turns PTO on and off at a designated hitch height, making for easier operation and protecting PTO driveline components during headland turns.

Three Maxxum models designed for value Three additional Case IH Maxxum models - the Maxxum 110, Maxxum 115 and Maxxum 125 - are geared toward versatility, productivity and value.

"These tractors offer a great value for the price and share some common features with the Pro series," says Dean. The Maxxum 110, 115 and 125 have a mechanical two-valve-per-cylinder Case IH engine, open center hydraulics and mechanical draft control. Operators have a choice of ROPS or standard cab, and 2WD or MFD (mechanical front drive). Transmission choices include 12x12 synchro, 24x24 synchro with high/low powershift, or 16x16 semi-powershift.
