Kubota expands Standard L tractor series
Kubota Tractor Corporation -Kubota's Standard L Series has been expanded to provide more power, comfort and upgraded features than ever before. The lineup now ranges from 24.0 to 37.5 PTO horsepower (hp). The new models are the L2800 and L3400 with hydrostatic transmission (HST), and the new high-powered L4400 with gear-drive transmission.
These additional transmission and horsepower choices allow customers to better match the tractor to their specific application. The L4400, along with the L2800 and L3400 gear drive models, offers 8F/4R speeds, plus all three come equipped with a forward/reverse mechanical shuttle shift in the low and reverse ranges. The hydrostatic transmission on the L2800 and L3400 4WD HST models provide a clutchless, smooth operation. The new HST provides three ranges low, medium and high, controlled with a single lever for optimal speed selection. Constant working speed can be set with the mechanical cruise control.
At the heart of these tractors beats a rugged engine powered by Kubota's vertical, liquid-cooled, four-cycle diesel, indirect-injection E-TVCS. The L2800 and L3400 have a durable three-cylinder diesel engine, and the L4400 is equipped with a powerful four-cylinder diesel engine generating 37.5 PTO hp. The standard L Series delivers dynamic output and high torque, while at the same time producing cleaner emissions with low noise and vibration.
These easy-to-operate tractors are well known for their reliability and powerful performance. The gear drive models are available in either 2WD or 4WD, allowing the operator to match their working conditions with the correct tractor. The HST models have 4WD standard. All models come standard with Kubota's responsive and smooth wet-type disc brakes. In addition, the L4400 is equipped with smooth, hydrostatic power steering, where the L2800 and L3400 have integral hydraulic power steering.
The hood has been redesigned giving the standard L Series a more stylish look. The one-piece, full-open hood is easy to open for routine maintenance. The new design is more slanted and round, providing a sleek look and enhancing visibility at the same time. The muffler has been repositioned under the hood, which further enhances operator visibility.
Maximum productivity is ensured with Kubota's two new Performance Matched front loaders, one for the L4400 model and the other for the L2800 and L3400 models. The L2800/L3400 loader lift capacity is 1,142 lbs. at the pivot pin, while the L4400 loader has a lift capacity of 1,818 lbs. A single-lever joystick provides easy and efficient operation of the loaders.
The L Series also is equipped with a rear PTO and Category I, 3-point hitch for rear implements. Some Kubota performance-matched implements are: backhoe, box scraper, rear-mount mower, rear blade, rotary tiller and post-hole digger. All models come with a choice of foldable or rigid ROPS and a retractable seat belt.
Kubota Tractor Corporation markets a complete line of tractors up to 103 PTO horsepower, along with a line of performance-matched implements, utility vehicles, construction equipment, consumer lawn and garden equipment and commercial turf products.
