Valtra unveils new models at Agritechnica: Valtra Valmet articulated tractors

The X-series is unique in that it combines the best properties of an ordinary farming tractor with articulation, which brings a significant number of benefits. From the serviceability viewpoint, the X-series is a safe choice because it is based on the four-cylinder (100, 110 and 120 hp) Valtra Valmet HiTech tractor.

The maximum joint turning angle is 42 degrees, which means that the turning circle diameter is less than 10 meters. It is also an important feature that the rear wheels follow front wheel tracks. X-series tractors are registered as tractors, so they can be used for towing trailers. In addition to excellent manoeuvrability, changing direction and adjusting speed are convenient due to the computer-controlled HiTech transmission.

The front loader is robust. Boom arms are made of thick steel plates like the booms of wheel loaders. When lifting the load, hydraulic stabilising cylinders support the front axle for increased stability. The loader has its own variable capacity pump located in front of the crankshaft, providing a maximum capacity of 130 l/min.

With TwinTrac’s dual control system, the tractor can be driven easily in both directions. The front axle is a Valtra industrial axle, which has a 6200-kg maximum load capacity at a speed of 8 km/h.

A wide range of options is available; skidding equipment with winch, grab loader or harvester unit. In addition, the tractor’s high manoeuvrability allows the towing of large forest trailers.

When using the loader, the upward view from the cab can be increased by choosing the forest cab, which features four tough windows on the cab roof. The front axle can be stiffened during loading. It is always easy to find work for a light and agile tractor; and if required, it can be equipped as a loading tractor.
