Bolens entered the snowmobile business in 1965 with the purchase of Hus-Ski of Quebec, the manufacturer of a sulky-type snow tractor. Bolens introduced a more conventional snowmobile design under the Sprint name for the 1969 season. Bolens continued to manufacture snowmobiles through the 1972 season before shutting down production.
