New Holland industrial tractors are part of a legacy that includes Fiat, Ford, and Allis-Chalmers. Sperry-New Holland began building industrial machinery in the early 1970s. The New Holland industrial line grew in the early 1990s when Fiat retired both the Ford and Fiatallis brands. Fiat had begun joint production with Allis-Chalmers in 1974 and purchased Ford New Holland in 1990.
