Hitachi Construction Machinery Company acquired Hinomoto/Toyosha in 1990, providing Hitachi with a line of farm tractors. In 1997, the Toyosha name was replaced with the Tierra name. Tierra was fully absorbed into Hitachi Construction in 2011 and agriculatural tractor production ceased.
