Fahr was a German manufacturer of tractors and combines, now part of SAME Deutz-Fahr. The Fahr was established in the 1870 and tractor production began in 1938. Fahr tractor production expanded greatly after World War II. Deutz AG began a takeover of Fahr in 1961 which halted tractor production, creating the new Deutz-Fahr brand in 1977.
