Buhler Industries acquired the Versatile tractor brand and Winnipeg from New Holland in 2000. Versatile was an established manufacturer of large four-wheel drive farm tractors. Buhler began a process of rebranding the tractors as Buhler-Versatile. Russian combine manufacturer Rostelmash purchased a majority stake in Buhler in 2007 and returned the tractor line to the Versatile name, dropping Buhler.
