The Power Director uses a gear shift, range shift, and the two-speed Power Director. The gear shift lever selects one of five forward gears, or reverse. The range shift lever selects between high and low ranges. The tractor must be stopped, and the clutch pedal used, to change the gear or range. Once in motion, the Power Director is operated by means of two foot switches that can be switched, on the move, without the clutch.
