Sperry Lawn tractors

Sperry-Rand owned New Holland from 1947 to 1986, building it into a major farm machinery manufacturer. A line of New Holland garden tractors were developed in the late 1960s. This product line was purchased by Ariens in 1973 and formed their basis of their heavy-duty garden tractors for the next two decades. Sperry sold the remainder of the New Holland farm machinery business to Ford in 1986.
